Los Vaqueros Cafe and Grill
You can’t visit Texas without eating some Tex-Mex! Los Vaqueros (Spanish for “the cowboys”) serves great Tex-Mex cuisine with beautiful outdoor patio seating. Some have said they have the best enchiladas in Kyle! They also have a great breakfast and brunch menu that is served all day, which is hard to find at other Tex-Mex establishments. This unique hundred-year-old building on Main Street has some very cool vibes, with incredible outdoor seating and a great vintage atmosphere inside too. Customers love the smashburger and oysters! They’re open daily from 11am to 9 or 10pm. Brunch, which includes unique offerings like beignets, short rib flautas, and crawfish omelettes, is served Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm.
Via313 Pizzeria
Via313 Pizzeria is a great local chain with Detroit-style square pizza that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Texas! They have extensive gluten free and dairy free options, which is great for those with dietary restrictions. People love the Omnivore pizza (Natural Casing Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper) and the Cadillac (Prosciutto, Gorgonzola, Parmesan, Fig Preserves, Balsamic Glaze). The classy, new-build restaurant in Kyle is good for larger parties and kid-friendly, too.
Bloodworth BBQ
Bloodworth BBQ is easily one of the best BBQ places in Kyle. They are family owned and operated, and they’re all about the meats. Get your meats to go, or eat a hot meal with classic sides like potato salad and mac n’ cheese. Their simple menu is known for its excellent brisket and ribs. Please note that Bloodworth’s has mainly outdoor seating, so you may want to get your lunch to-go if the weather isn’t pleasant. This small family operation is currently open on Fridays from 11:30 am until sold out (usually around 5:30pm), and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to sold out (usually around 4:30 pm).
Pho with Us
It may be hard to find great Pho, a type of Vietnamese soup, in Kyle, but you can find it at Pho With Us! They also have great bahn mi (a Vietnamese sandwich). The restaurant is also clean and artfully decorated. They’re closed Tuesdays, and open from 11am-8:45 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with hours from 12pm-8:45 pm Sundays.
