Fitness Tips for Older Adults

It’s probably not the first time you’ve heard this: movement is good for you! It keeps your heart healthy, elevates your mood, and can even help keep your brain young. But is exercise really possible for older adults? Couldn’t you get injured or fall? What if you’ve never exercised before in your life? Is it too late to start?

Good news, folks! It’s never too late to start healthy habits, and exercise is no different. You can begin moving your body at ANY age! Here’s why beginning exercise today is a great idea. 

So what if exercise is new to you?

You don’t have to start going to the gym in your senior living community for 2 hours a day! You could start with a walk around the block. Add a friend, and you will have a great time and get your body moving! You could also attend a class at your senior living community. But I don’t like working out. Aren’t these my years to rest?
