You might still be wondering…
Can we afford The Gallery at Spokane Independent & Assisted Living?
It’s one of the first questions families ask—and we get it. But when you look at everything that’s included here, the cost often matches (or even beats) what you’re already spending to stay at home.
Most of our community members used to manage a long list of monthly expenses—mortgage or rent, groceries, utilities, home maintenance, transportation, and more. And in many cases, they were also paying for help with meals or care. At The Gallery, it’s all bundled into one predictable rate. You don’t need to chase down help for every little thing—it’s already built in.
We’ll walk you through the options with complete transparency and no pressure. Whether it’s a studio or a one-bedroom, our goal is to help you or your loved one feel at ease—not just financially, but emotionally too.
How do people get around outside the community?
We want you to keep living your life. Whether that means heading to the doctor, running errands, or joining a scenic drive with friends, we make it easy to stay connected to the world beyond our walls.
We offer group transportation every week and scheduled trips to medical appointments. If you need something outside of that, we’ll help arrange it. Some community members still drive themselves, while others enjoy the ease of handing over the keys.
How’s the food?
Ask anyone here—and they’ll light up talking about the food. One team member laughed as she admitted, “I actually got jokingly reprimanded by our chef for ordering the Reuben too often—it’s that good.”
Chef Estevan brings years of experience from private clubs and country kitchens, and it shows. Meals are made fresh to order, with two daily specials, scratch-made soups, and thoughtful touches like seasonal themes and resident feedback sessions.
Want lobster bisque? A turkey sandwich that’s somehow better than any you’ve had? You’ll find it here.
Meals are served all day between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, so no one’s locked into rigid meal times. It’s open seating, open schedule, and always fresh—never heat-lamped. Even in Memory Care, the meals are made to order and plated with care, preserving dignity and appetite alike.
This isn’t just dining—it’s something to look forward to every single day.
Will I have to move out if I need more care?
No—and that’s one of the most comforting things about life at The Gallery. We offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all under one roof, so if things change, you don’t have to start over somewhere new.
For couples, especially, this flexibility can be a lifeline. We’ve seen it time and again—one spouse still independent, while the other begins to need more support. Here, they can stay close. One person may enjoy happy hour upstairs while the other receives memory care just down the hall. It’s seamless, respectful, and rooted in real love.
You don’t have to be in crisis to make this move. Many families come to us saying, “We’re okay now—but we don’t want to wait for an emergency.” That’s exactly the kind of foresight this community supports.
What makes your Memory Care different?
You can feel it the moment you walk in. Joy!
The layout is easy to navigate, with two short hallways, a central nurses’ station, and a courtyard designed to bring people outdoors safely. But it’s the people who make the difference. Every day, you’ll see people singing, smiling, and engaging with real delight. Whether they’re walking down the hallway in a cheerful parade or spending time by the courtyard’s water feature, there’s life here. Not waiting. Not decline. Life.
The same high-quality meals are available in Memory Care, made to order and thoughtfully plated. And the team has years of experience supporting families through one of the hardest journeys—with compassion, clarity, and hope.
What if my parent is still doing fine on their own?
Then this is actually the perfect time to consider The Gallery. Most of the people who move in are still very independent. They’re driving, managing their medications, doing just fine. But they’re also tired of keeping up a house or planning every meal—and the days can feel long and quiet.
That’s what this community offers: a soft landing. A way to stay independent, while adding a little more ease, a little more friendship, and a whole lot more peace of mind.
Plus, many families tell us they love knowing that if something changes, they’ve already chosen a place that can grow with them.
Your building is new, right?
Yes—and it shows. The Gallery is the newest community in the South Hill area, and every detail was designed with today’s older adults in mind. The hallways are wider. The plumbing is stronger. The insulation is better. It’s clean, modern, and free of the issues that come with older buildings—no moldy smells, no surprise repairs, no outdated design.
But don’t mistake “new” for inexperienced. Many of our team members have worked in senior living for 20+ years. As our executive director puts it, “The building may be new—but the people inside have been doing this longer than most.”
What’s the atmosphere really like?
Warm. Friendly. Intimate.
We hear this often from visitors who expect something more cold or clinical. But when you walk in, it feels more like a boutique hotel than a senior facility. There’s music in the background, people chatting in cozy corners, and a general hum of life.
One visitor recently said, “I expected quiet. But instead, I walked into laughter.” That’s the difference. We love that this community isn’t just beautiful—it’s alive.
Do you have two-bedroom apartments?
We do, and they are in high demand, generally with an internal waitlist—meaning they’re reserved for current community members. So if that’s something you’re hoping for down the road, the best first step is to move into a studio or one-bedroom now. That way, you’re already part of the community when the right space opens up.
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
Is The Gallery at Spokane the right community for you?
Hi there! I’m Evrett Benton, President & CEO of Stellar Living.
As a family-owned and operated business, we consider each family we serve as an extension of our own.
It’s why we’ve worked so hard to build communities where retired adults can enjoy a first-class life and adult children can rest assured that their parents are safe, happy, and involved in their lives, without having to trade being a child for a caregiver.
Our ultimate goal is a satisfying solution for everyone.
We look forward to meeting yours!
