Take a look around.
Lakewood Reserve has exponentially exceeded my expectations in caring for my mother, The building, common areas, and rooms are bright, clean and comfortable; the meals are varied and flavorful; medications are reliably administered; but the absolute best part of Lakewood is the people who work to make it such an amazing place.
The Memory Care Unit is very good, with a caring staff and provided good attention to details and overall care. My step mother lived there for 5 years and always seemed happy and other clients became her friends and companions. It became her home. The food was good and they were able to cater to special needs.

You might still be wondering…
Can we afford Lakewood Reserve Assisted Living & Memory Care?
Most of our community members come from modest backgrounds—and many find that their retirement income, including Social Security, covers the cost. When you add up the expenses of staying at home—like mortgage or rent, utilities, food, transportation, and home care—our all-inclusive rates are often surprisingly comparable.
How do people get around outside the community?
We provide scheduled transportation for medical appointments, shopping trips, and community outings. For anything else, our team is happy to help coordinate rides with trusted third-party providers. Family visits are always welcome, and we’re close to everything—Belmar shopping, restaurants, and medical centers are just a quick drive away.
How’s the food?
It's delicious and made fresh to order! Our executive chef, who came from the hotel industry, takes pride in presentation and variety, offering all-day dining with plenty of comforting favorites and creative specials. Whether you’re in the mood for a made-to-order quesadilla or want to try the themed dish of the day, there’s always something satisfying on the menu.
You’ll also find snacks and drinks available 24/7 at the Tally Ho Bistro.
Is Memory Care available if it’s needed later?
Yes. Our Memory Care neighborhood is right here under the same roof, offering a warm, engaging environment and highly personalized care. We use the Apollo Program, which focuses on routines, sensory connection, and meaningful daily engagement. Many families appreciate how seamlessly their loved one can transition without ever needing to leave the community they know.
What if my parent is nervous about being isolated in their room?
We hear this a lot—and it’s why people are often surprised by how social and active life becomes once they move in. With 40–50 activities every week, it’s easy to find something you enjoy. Our Activities Director, Whitney, is famous for bringing joy and creativity to the calendar—think Drag Bingo, dress-up days, live music, and themed events that bring everyone out of their apartments to laugh and connect.
Is the building too large for someone with mobility issues?
Our community is long, but we’ve designed it to be as accessible and supportive as possible. There’s seating in every hallway, common areas on each floor, and team members available to assist or escort anyone who needs it. Many community members enjoy the extra space for daily walks indoors, especially in the winter.
Do you work with veterans or Kaiser insurance plans?
Yes! We’re near one of Colorado’s largest veteran cemeteries, and many local programs support veterans in our community. We also offer a physical therapy program that accepts Kaiser insurance—a rare benefit in senior living. If your family is navigating benefits or coverage, we’re happy to help you explore options that might make care more accessible.
What makes Lakewood Reserve different from other senior living communities nearby?
We’re a local favorite for good reason. With mountain views, Lakewood-inspired design touches, and a joyful, welcoming atmosphere, this place has real personality.
Our Villa Italia Cinema pays tribute to the beloved mall locals still remember fondly, and the Tally Ho Bistro features a replica of the iconic supper club sign—a nod to the spot where so many community members celebrated birthdays, milestones, and memorable nights out. These touches aren’t just for show—they’re memory anchors that help people feel instantly at home.
And the warmth here runs deeper than décor. You’ll hear about Tony from maintenance personally hooking up a new resident’s TV—because he knows how disorienting the first night can feel. Or Amy, our RN, taking extra time to call a daughter back after hours—just to make sure she sleeps better knowing Mom is okay.
It feels personal here because it is.
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
Is Lakewood Reserve the right community for you?
Hi there! I’m Evrett Benton, President & CEO of Stellar Living.
As a family-owned and operated business, we consider each family we serve as an extension of our own.
It’s why we’ve worked so hard to build communities where retired adults can enjoy a first-class life and adult children can rest assured that their parents are safe, happy, and involved in their lives, without having to trade being a child for a caregiver.
Our ultimate goal is a satisfying solution for everyone.
We look forward to meeting yours!
At Lakewood Reserve, we’re more than just a place to live—we’re a true community. Whether you’re just starting to explore options or feel ready for a visit, I’d love to hear your story and help you find the support that fits.
