You might still be wondering…
Can we afford Villa de San Antonio Senior Living?
People come to Villa de San Antonio from a wide range of backgrounds, but most share the same goal—finding a place that offers good value, transparency, and peace of mind.
Our pricing is designed to be clear and predictable, and for many families, the monthly cost compares closely to what they’re already spending to maintain a home—especially once you factor in meals, utilities, housekeeping, transportation, and on-site support.
Villa de San Antonio is a private-pay community and does not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or Section 8 housing assistance. Starting pricing is shared early in the process so families can make informed decisions without pressure or surprises.
How’s the food?
Dining is one of the things people talk about most at Villa de San Antonio—and for good reason. We offer all-day, restaurant-style dining with a wide variety of daily choices and drop-in service that fits real life.
From the popular daily soup station and rotating specials to the upscale Sunday brunch, meals here are meant to be enjoyed, not rushed—and are often the highlight of the day. There are also signature traditions people look forward to, like Cowboy Breakfast during rodeo season and a monthly Birthday Breakfast with an extra-special menu and doting service.
The community has two dining rooms—one connected to Independent Living and one connected to Assisted Living. Those in Assisted Living are welcome to dine in either space, which helps them stay connected with friends and keep the routines they enjoy even as needs change.

What makes the community feel so social?
Villa de San Antonio is known for its energy. This is not a quiet, closed-door kind of place. People gather naturally—over meals, at weekly social hour with live music and dancing, during card games, classes, and outings around town.
One of the first things visitors notice is how active and friendly the atmosphere feels. Conversations spill into hallways, laughter carries through common spaces, and it’s easy to feel part of things without having to try.
Check out this week’s activity calendar.
How do people get around outside the community?
We want life to stay active and connected beyond our walls. Villa de San Antonio offers scheduled transportation six days a week for medical appointments, shopping, and group outings around the city. Regular trips include places people actually use—like HEB, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and other local favorites—as well as weekly restaurant outings and seasonal excursions.
Transportation can also be scheduled for individual appointments and errands, and many people choose to keep their own vehicles.
How important is faith at Villa de San Antonio?
Faith is a meaningful part of daily life here. The community features a beautiful on-site chapel with daily Catholic Mass, as well as a weekly interdenominational service. There are also prayer groups and Bible study opportunities.
People don’t need to be Catholic to live here, but for many, the ability to continue familiar spiritual routines without leaving the community is deeply comforting.
What kind of support is available if needs change?
Villa de San Antonio offers Independent Living and Assisted Living on one campus, so support can increase without needing to leave a familiar place or community. Some people move in already needing help with things like medication management or daily routines, while others value knowing that assistance is available if life changes.
What are apartments like?
Apartments at Villa de San Antonio are known for feeling open, bright, and comfortable, with high ceilings, open floor plans, and plenty of natural light. Independent Living homes include full kitchens, and most feature in-apartment washers and dryers.
What truly sets the community apart is the variety. With more than a dozen Independent Living floor plans, Assisted Living studios and one- and two-bedroom options, and separate Independent Living cottages with attached garages, people can choose a space that fits how they actually live.
How is the staff?
One of the first things families notice is the warmth here—and a lot of that comes down to the people who work at Villa de San Antonio. The leadership team has been here a long time, and that steady presence shows in how smoothly things run and how well people are known.
Families also appreciate the 24/7 front desk, because it adds a layer of comfort and security—especially for those living independently. It’s the kind of place where the team truly enjoys what they do, and you can feel it.
Do you serve veterans or military families?
We do, and it’s a meaningful part of our community. San Antonio has strong military roots, and many of the people who live here have served themselves or have close family who did. We love our veterans walls in the community, which often spark conversations and connections right away. Some people are lifelong locals, others are returning to San Antonio after being stationed here years ago, and many move here to be closer to adult children who came through military service. If that’s part of your story, you’ll find a lot of shared understanding here.
Is Villa de San Antonio pet-friendly?
Yes, we are very pet-friendly! There’s a fenced dog park where people can sit, relax, and let their dog safely enjoy some off-leash time. For many, having a pet is part of feeling at home, and we love that pets are part of the community’s daily life here.
What’s the first impression when you walk in?
People often comment on how warm and lively the building feels right away. There’s usually music playing, people chatting near the front, and a sense that life is happening all around you. It feels welcoming, active, and lived-in—in the best possible way.
We’d love to hear what you have to say! Schedule a tour.
Is there a waitlist?
Yes—sometimes. Because Villa de San Antonio is often highly occupied, certain apartments can be in higher demand than others, especially specific sizes, locations, and cottages. We also keep an internal list for people who want to move within the community when the right apartment opens up. The best next step is to reach out and tell us what you’re hoping for—we’ll do our best to match your preferences!
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
