A full spectrum of care is just one of many things that makes La Sonora unique. We have active senior Independent Living, where our residents live in a private apartment with a courtyard or patio, great views, in-unit washers and dryers, and full kitchens. These kitchens include granite countertops and full-size appliances. Independent Living rent also includes two meals a day in our restaurant-style dining room. And, we provide housekeeping and linen services to all residents. You’ll also have access to our massive calendar of activities and our resort-style amenities.
If and when you need more care down the road, La Sonora also offers assisted living and memory care options. Our Memory Care and Assisted Living programs are full of hope, life, and energy. Our community has three separate buildings, all of which have been newly constructed and beautifully designed. And Building 3 houses our Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments.
This setup allows us to give our residents who need a little extra help the care they need. It also gives our independent living residents full independence. Building 3 includes a separate nurse’s station for each floor, ensuring that someone is always close by to provide support or assistance. Our buildings also each have their own staffed main entrance, which provides safety and security for all of our community members.

Memory Care has specifically designed Montessori-inspired activities to help improve your loved one’s quality of life. We know how difficult dementia is, both for seniors and for their families. So, we’re here to help! This includes a consistent schedule to ensure better sleep, and lots of both mentally and physically active options. Memory Care residents aren’t left alone in their rooms, watching TV all day. Our staff members make sure they come out to activities, even if it’s just to watch. They have their own garden club, and they also enjoy art projects, crafts, games, and more.
We have tons of clubs and committees to join, which keeps our residents busy and helps them make friends and relationships within the community. Our community members love our garden club, book club, art club, and resident council committee. Our Welcome Committee makes sure that each new resident is welcomed and loved right off the bat. We also have daily happy hours, arts and crafts, daily exercise classes, Bingo, board games, lots of social events, and karaoke, as well as live music. And, we enjoy weekly outings for shopping, restaurants, casinos, and more.

We also have a bistro with snacks and coffee available, and a separate communal bistro for Independent Living restaurants to have potluck-style meals and gatherings. Our Cooking with Chef event once a month allows our residents to express their meal preferences and let us know what they’d like to try.
We also enjoy celebrating here at La Sonora! We have holiday buffets and special meals at least once a month, and we always enjoy when families come to help us celebrate. And, we have a daily happy hour over at our bistro. Many of our residents love our food, and the presentation is beautiful.
