LifeLoop: Connection that Counts

As an adult child of a senior citizen, your parent(s) going into “a home” is probably something you have wondered about–or maybe even worried about. Our current generation of adults is sometimes described as the sandwich generation, because you may find yourself caring for young children and your aging parents simultaneously. This can bring some significant challenges, and at some point your parents might need more care than you can feasibly provide. But with so many negative connotations surrounding an “old folks’ home” or “nursing home,” you may have some very understandable concerns about senior living.

Of course, not all senior living communities are created equal, and you might be surprised to find that today’s senior living can look more like a five-star resort than a “nursing home.” This is certainly the case at Stellar Living communities–our communities have the accommodations and amenities of a luxury cruise ship, without the seasickness! However, even with beautiful high-end apartments and resort-style living, it’s only natural to worry about mom and dad. You might worry about their happiness, whether or not they’re getting the care they need, if they’re making friends, if they’re staying active. Even with cell phones, it can be hard to get the full story.

That’s where LifeLoop comes in. We get it. Your mom or dad isn’t just a senior citizen, they are beloved members of your family. They have taken care of you, been there for you, and supported you throughout your life. We want to keep you connected to your senior loved one, even if you can’t visit as often as you’d like. LifeLoop allows you to stay updated, stay connected, and stay involved in your loved one’s life, every day.

What is LifeLoop?

LifeLoop is an innovative software platform that connects seniors living in senior living communities with their loved ones. Through the LifeLoop app or website, you can connect with your senior loved one, see what they’re up to, view pictures of videos, and communicate both with your senior and staff at the community.

Stay Updated

The LifeLoop connection portal will give you weekly updates, photos, and activity summaries about your senior loved one. You’ll be able to see what activities they participated in, pictures and videos of what they’ve been up to that week, and real-time insight into their daily life. You can even see what’s for dinner on the digital menu!

LifeLoop: Stay Connected

You can also use the LifeLoop app or website to send messages, photos, and postcards to your senior loved one. This allows you another way to connect and be a part of their life, even when you’re far away. Staff at your Stellar Living Community can also help your senior loved one use the LifeLoop software. This can be extra helpful if your senior is not a technology buff. Even if they don’t know how to use all the apps on their computer or cell phone, they can stay in touch with LifeLoop. Secure messages to your senior are delivered like an email, and they can send photos back to you, too!

LifeLoop: Stay Involved

LifeLoop also gives you an easy way to communicate with staff members at your parents’ senior living community. You can use LifeLoop to stay involved in their care, submit maintenance requests, schedule transportation, and even message staff directly.

LifeLoop makes it easy to stay updated, connected, and involved, even when you’re far away or life is pulling you in a million directions. Caring for aging parents is hard, even with the help of senior living communities. Let us resolve at least one of your worries. It may be best for your parents to move to a senior living community, but that doesn’t mean you’ll lose daily contact with them.
