There’s always something fun happening at Stellar Senior Living Communities. Every community has 40-50 on- and off-site activities each week, including weekly excursions, parties, holiday celebrations, and more. The Reserve at North Dallas is no exception! This independent and assisted living community in Dallas hosts tons of activities every day. Health and Wellness Directors and Life Enrichment Directors work together to plan daily and weekly programs that meet the social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs of community residents. They work hard to get to know each resident’s preferences, talents, and needs and create a program of activities with something for everyone. Fabulous Life Enrichment Assistants help these planned activities go smoothly, and ensure everyone has a good time. Here are just a few recent fun activities at The Reserve at North Dallas!
Live Performances
Live music is a staple at The Reserve. Residents were delighted to watch local performers Shanna Divine and Terry serenade them.
Violinists from Texas Winds Musical Outreach also played a fantastic private concert in the foyer.
We had a great time at Resident Karaoke & Happy Hour! It was so fun to hear residents’ voices and party together with friends and loved ones.
Lucille Ball (also known as Rhonda) paid us a visit and got residents laughing and acting with her.
Birthday & Holiday Celebrations
Of course, we can’t forget our amazing residents’ birthdays! We also enjoy decorating and celebrating every holiday. Here is one unforgettable 100th birthday party. We also have a monthly birthday celebration for all of our residents.
When Stellar Living took over management of The Reserve, we had an amazing beach party bash and luau! There was even an ice cream truck in attendance.
We celebrated The Longest Day with giant bubbles and a purple-themed party and carnival! The Longest Day celebrates the summer solstice, but also supports Alzheimer’s research. The night ended with a movie night by the pool!
Father’s Day included a fabulous buffet and a keyboard performance by Art Stern.
Our Health and Wellness Director didn’t forget National Bourbon Day! Bourbon, snacks, and fun was had by all.
National Cupcake Day was also a success, and featured a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research in the form of a bake sale.
It’s safe to say our Mother’s Day brunch was a hit. Residents also enjoyed a beautiful vocal performance from DeeDee.
The Reserve residents felt incredibly special at this amazing Forever Young Prom. Life Enrichment really went out with fancy food, a bar, dancing, musical performances, and more.
Nobody had more fun on Cinco De Mayo than residents of The Reserve. Entertainers and amazing food made this a celebration to remember.
Inclusive of all, everyone had a good time celebrating the first night of Passover. We also had a fun Passover 101 class so that everyone could learn about this important holiday.
April Fools’ Day was the silliest celebration yet.
Just For Fun
Residents enjoyed creating their own blend of essential oils at this essential oils class.
Game night is always a good time. And you can play at least once a week!
Beaded jewelry class was enjoyed by many residents.
We had fun guessing how many beans were in the jar for National Jellybean Day!
Ice cream for breakfast? Why not?!
Residents learned about Georgia O’Keefe and enjoyed wine during this fun painting class.
