The MonteVista at Coronado: A Fan Favorite

The MonteVista at Coronado is an award-winning independent living, assisted living, and memory care senior living community in El Paso, Texas. This high-end community offers an unmatched continuum of care and resort-style living with a fun, active lifestyle. Our food is legendary, and our dedicated, experienced staff has been making senior living great for decades. But perhaps the most important measure of our success comes from the reviews our residents and their families share with us.

We’re well-reviewed across the board, including on Google reviews, Facebook, Caring.com, and Family Assets. People love the sunset views, the warm, compassionate care, family feel, and cruise-style activities and amenities. Our favorite reviews, of course, are the reviews we get from our residents, who are the heart and soul of our community.

Reviews from Residents

We were touched to receive a handwritten review from one of our amazing residents, and she wanted us to share her thoughts with all of you, too. Her review was addressed to Britt Aulie, the Executive Director at The MonteVista at Coronado. It reads,

“Britt,

I think the MonteVista is a top shelf quality place to live. The staff, activities, food and residents are truly wonderful. Britt, you do an amazing job. You never stay in your office behind closed doors. You know every resident’s name and you make each one feel important. You’re very adept at wearing many hats, and most important, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get jobs done. That’s dedication!

I’ve given kudos to people here that have made an impact on me. Lulu’s hard work and perseverance amazes me. She is very compassionate and always attuned to the needs of others and no matter what, she always has a smile on her face.

Dahniel, she is the go to person if you have any questions. She is always very kind, patient and caring when giving you information, and if she doesn’t know she will find out.

Amy, she is so enthusiastic it’s contagious. She was very kind and caring about getting my meals delivered after Bob passed. Also to have someone her age with such a very strong work ethic is almost an impossible find.

Genesis, my housekeeper, is truly remarkable. She is very thorough and always willing to go that extra step. She is always upbeat, never complains, and all the while raising an autistic son, I find that pretty amazing.“

More Reviews

This handwritten review touched our hearts, and we hope it helped you see more of what The MonteVista is all about. Linda Powers, another one of our residents, left this review about a year ago.

“The MonteVista at Coronado…offers a rather unique living setting for people aged 55 and over. We are in our late 60’s and moved in almost a year ago. It is an interior access apartment complex that offers a variety of apartment layouts and sizes. We initially moved into a two-bedroom/two-bath unit, but were on the list for a two-bedroom/two-bath unit with a den which we converted into an office. As we both still work, the office was a necessity. When we moved into each of the units, they had been painted, so the unit felt fresh.

We had to give up certain things when we moved to MonteVista, namely cooking, cleaning, laundry and yard work, to name a few. All are done for you. Happy hour is every day at 4:30 p.m. Meals are in the dining room, with a hot breakfast, a daily menu for lunch and dinner and an any-time menu offering a constant menu choice should you not like the menu being offered that day. You can sign up for transportation, so driving yourself is optional. Weekly fun activities are planned such as going to local restaurants for lunch, going to the movies, casinos, and for local shopping. Transportation is provided if you sign up for the activity.

Funny, I came and looked at MonteVista for my mother about 22 years ago….after seeing everything they offered, I laughed and said we were going to live there one day….and here we are! Good friends, good food, a nice apartment unit, security and an easy lifestyle…who could ask for more!”
