You might still be wondering…
Can we afford The MonteVista at Coronado Senior & Assisted Living in El Paso, TX?
Most of our community members come from modest backgrounds, and many find that their retirement funds and social security benefits cover the cost of living here. In fact, our monthly rates are comparable to what many retirees spend maintaining their own homes—without the stress of upkeep, rising utility costs, or unexpected repairs.
How do residents get around outside the community?
At The MonteVista at Coronado, we make getting around easy. Our scheduled shuttle service takes residents on outings—including trips to the El Paso Symphony, dinner theater performances, and local casinos. Private transportation can also be arranged, and of course, family and friends are always welcome to visit!
What is the dining experience like at The MonteVista?
Dining at The MonteVista is more than just a meal—it’s a social and culinary experience. Community members enjoy restaurant-style dining with flexible hours, multiple entrée choices, and chef-prepared meals made with fresh ingredients.
Community members residing in our Independent Living community receive breakfast plus one daily meal, while those in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities enjoy three meals a day. Special events like holiday buffets, themed dining nights, and daily happy hours make dining a highlight of life at The MonteVista.
What makes The MonteVista different from other senior living communities?
Unlike many senior communities in El Paso, The MonteVista is nestled in a peaceful residential neighborhood with breathtaking mountain views and a home-like, welcoming atmosphere. We are known for our exceptional dining, engaging social scene, and personalized support that allows our community members to age in place. With a high staff retention rate and award-winning reputation, we provide a level of warmth and care that truly feels like family.
MonteVista isn’t just loved by those who live here—it’s recognized as one of the best. We’ve been voted Best of El Paso for Senior Living multiple years and have received national recognition for our service and care.
How does The MonteVista help new residents feel at home?
We understand that moving to a new senior or assisted living community can feel overwhelming, which is why we go the extra mile to make the transition to our El Paso community smooth. Our Resident Welcome Committee helps new community members get acquainted, and our personalized move-in support ensures everyone’s preferences and needs are met from day one. With a full calendar of engaging activities, social events, and warm, friendly neighbors, it doesn’t take long to feel at home.
Many community members say that they didn’t realize just how isolating life at home could be until they experienced the connections here. Mr. Spott came to MonteVista for short-term rehab but quickly found himself immersed in daily activities and new friendships. ‘I didn’t realize how lonely I was until I got here,’ he shared. He decided to stay—and now he’s the Resident Council President, helping shape the MonteVista experience for others.
My loved one needs some assistance, but we don’t want to move them multiple times. Can The MonteVista help?
Absolutely! Our community is designed for aging in place, so community members can transition seamlessly between Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care as their needs evolve. We also offer Independent Plus services for those who need light assistance with medication reminders or dressing but want to remain in Independent Living. Our goal is to provide just the right level of support while ensuring continuity and comfort.
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
