You might still be wondering…
Can we afford The Grand at Southern Hills Independent & Assisted Living
Every family’s financial picture is different. What many people discover, however, is that the monthly cost is often comparable to what they’re already spending to stay in their own home.
Monthly pricing at The Grand at Southern Hills includes housing, meals, utilities, housekeeping, maintenance, and access to activities and amenities—all in one predictable payment. When compared to mortgage or rent, groceries, dining out, home upkeep, and outside services, many families find the numbers closer than expected.
We’re happy to walk you through transparent pricing and help you explore options.
How do people get around outside the community?
The Grand at Southern Hills offers scheduled transportation for medical appointments and group outings. Weekly excursions and planned trips—like shopping outings and Friday casino visits—are part of the rhythm of life here. Private transportation can also be arranged when needed.
How's the food?
It’s one of the things people talk about most. Three chef-prepared meals are served daily in a lively dining room where neighbors actually sit and stay awhile. The menu offers familiar favorites along with alternate options, and dietary needs can be accommodated.
We invite you to schedule a tour and try a meal on us!
What happens if care needs increase?
One of the advantages of The Grand at Southern Hills is the ability to transition from Independent Living to Assisted Living support without changing apartments. That means added support can come in gradually, without the disruption of moving to a new space.
Memory Care and Short-Term Respite Care are also available, allowing people to remain in a familiar community as needs evolve.
What kind of Memory Care is available?
Memory Care at The Grand at Southern Hills follows our signature Apollo Program—a fresh approach to cognitive support that focuses on the person, not just the diagnosis.
We believe: Alzheimer’s and dementia change lives, but they don’t have to diminish them.
The Apollo Program is built around three pillars: Education, Engagement, and Environment. Team members receive specialized dementia training and ongoing education so care is thoughtful and intentional. Families are partners in the process, sharing history, rhythms, and personal stories so daily life is shaped around what still brings meaning and joy. The environment is designed for safety, yes—but also for spontaneity, purpose, and connection.
Is there really enough to do?
There’s always something on the calendar—Bingo, happy hour, fitness classes, casino outings, shopping trips, and group events. Some people participate every day. Others choose what fits their routine.
The environment naturally encourages connection without pressure. You can join in—or simply enjoy the company around you.
Are leases long-term contracts?
No. Apartments are offered on a month-to-month basis. This flexibility gives families confidence and removes the pressure of long-term commitments.
Is the community pet-friendly?
Yes. The Grand at Southern Hills is pet-friendly and includes a pet park. A one-time pet fee applies, but there is no ongoing pet rent.
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
