Can we afford The Retreat at Alameda Independent & Assisted Senior Living?
The monthly commitment at The Retreat at Alameda is more straightforward than most families expect. When you add up what your loved one currently spends on rent or mortgage, utilities, groceries, dining out, housekeeping, and home health services, our all-inclusive rate is often comparable—and a lot less to manage. Everything is bundled into one predictable monthly cost.
How do members get around outside the community?
At The Retreat at Alameda, we want everyone to live life on their terms. Community vehicles are available for scheduled medical visits and group outings around North Phoenix, and we can help arrange third-party transportation when needed.
How's the food?
Really good—and there's plenty of it. Our chef prepares three meals a day with more than ten choices at every sitting, so there's always something to look forward to. Full-service dining runs from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and the bistro is stocked with coffee and pastries for everything in between.
What if care needs change over time?
This is one of the things families appreciate most about The Retreat at Alameda.
Independent living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care are all available in one community—so if needs change, your loved one stays in the home they love, with the same neighbors and the same familiar faces. No uprooting, no searching for a new place.
What kind of Memory Care is available?
Memory Care at The Retreat at Alameda follows our signature Apollo Program—a fresh approach to cognitive support that focuses on the person, not just the diagnosis.
We believe: Alzheimer’s and dementia change lives, but they don’t have to diminish them.
The Apollo Program is built around three pillars: Education, Engagement, and Environment. Team members receive specialized dementia training and ongoing education so care is thoughtful and intentional. Families are partners in the process, sharing history, rhythms, and personal stories so daily life is shaped around what still brings meaning and joy. The environment is designed for safety, yes—but also for spontaneity, purpose, and connection.
