This year, Stellar’s mission took on extra special meaning through a partnership with Wish of a Lifetime from AARP.
Like the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes for children, Wish of a Lifetime helps older adults fulfill lifelong dreams and celebrates lives filled with wisdom, service, and experience. Together, the Stellar Living Foundation and Wish of a Lifetime are helping seniors open the door to new experiences and embrace meaningful adventures at every stage of life.
Sandia Vista: Where Dreams Come True!
Sandia Vista Senior Living is a bright and hopeful independent living community in Albuquerque. Recently, one Sandia Vista resident stood out as someone truly deserving of this opportunity.
According to Amy Weeks, Life Enrichment Director at Sandia Vista,

His compassion, moral character, and joyful spirit have made him a beacon of hope within the community.”
Because of the impact Joel has had on those around him, Amy submitted his story to Wish of a Lifetime. We’re excited to announce that his wish was granted!
This year, Joel will fulfill his lifelong dream of visiting Yellowstone National Park.

For years, Joel placed the needs of his church, his family, and his community before his own. Though he has always dreamed of seeing Yellowstone, life’s responsibilities kept that dream out of reach. Now, thanks to the support of Wish of a Lifetime and the Stellar Living Foundation, Joel’s dream is finally becoming reality.
