Stellar has recently embarked on a new charity venture, The Stellar Senior Living Foundation. Noticing a need for help throughout their communities, Stellar started this foundation to give back to their residents, employees, and local charitable organizations. They provide financial and other types of support for educational scholarships, hardship relief, citizenship pursuits, financial emergencies, and more. Giving Back to Residents
Senior living residents aren’t exempt from financial hardship. Unexpected medical events or emergencies can create a sudden financial need, and the Foundation is here to help. Residents can even apply on behalf of their families to help with other hardships, or with educational scholarships.
Giving Back to Employees
Employees at senior living communities are undoubtedly some of the kindest and most compassionate people on Earth. They are true caregivers who seek to provide seniors with love, companionship, support, and assistance. Many residents and their families know staff members by name, and feel especially taken care of and loved by everyone, from receptionists and activities directors to CNA’s and chefs. Caring for seniors, especially those dealing with illnesses, dementia, or declining health, can be a tough job. It can be both emotionally and physically demanding, and it really takes a special kind of person.
Stellar wants to give back to the employees who create such wonderful lives for their residents. Employees are able to apply for help with educational scholarships, citizenship pursuits, or financial emergencies. The Foundation hopes to be able to help those employees who are in need.
Giving Back to Communities
The Stellar Senior Living Foundation is also looking to partner with local charitable organizations so they can help make a difference. They’re currently paired with The Alzheimer’s Organization, which is leading the way to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s and dementia. The Foundation also partners with Honor Flight, a national organization that honors, supports, and celebrates veterans. They’re always looking to partner with more local charities.
