We have very low turnover, with a 98% staff retention rate that proves our staff are happy here. Many of our dedicated staff members have been here for more than 20 years.

- Independent Living. This fully independent living is essentially your own private apartment in a gated community. Our staff won’t bother you, and you can keep your car and your freedom to live however you’d like. You’ll also get benefits like chef-prepared meals, housekeeping and linen services, and access to all of our amenities and activities.
- Independent Plus. If you strongly value your independence, but you need just a little more help, we’ve got you covered. Our Independent Plus care level can give you a little extra, like medication reminders, help dressing, or assistance with the shower. This will give you and your family the peace of mind you deserve, without compromising your independence.
- Assisted Living. As you continue through your life journey, we’re here for you if you ever need a little more help with activities of daily living. This could include help with eating, bathing, getting up and/or around, and personal hygiene.
- Memory Care. For those with dementia or other memory loss disorders, we’re still here. You can move to a secure memory care apartment that will ensure your safety at all times, while still participating in all the fun of our community. Memory Care staff also help with specialized activities and therapies to ensure you’re receiving the best possible care.
These 4 levels of personalized care, combined with custom care plans that you’ll make with our team, mean you’ll get exactly what you need, without losing your individuality and self-sufficiency.

We also have an amazing activities schedule that keeps our residents excited and engaged. We offer a daily happy hour, including specialty drinks and appetizers, and weekly outings to the El Paso Opera, El Paso Symphony, dinner theater, casino, movies, and restaurants. And, we have music classes, live performances, a book club, monthly birthday parties, games, and more. Our residents have monthly meetings with our Life Enrichment Director to discuss what activities you’d like to see happen in the future. With 40-50 on- and off-site activities, there’s always something going on and someone to talk to.
We also respect our community members’ right to privacy and independence, and you’ll get to choose how you spend your time. You can hang out in the library or participate in any of the hobbies you enjoy. One of our residents even wrote and published 4 novels while living in our community! You are free to come and go as you please, and some of our residents keep their cars so they can get around wherever they’d like to go. We also offer transportation services, including weekly grocery pickup and delivery,
Your faith is important to you, and we’re here for that too. We offer a wide variety of in-house religious services available to cater to our residents’ needs, as well as transportation if you’d like to worship elsewhere.
An In-House 5-Star Restaurant
You won’t find any cafeteria-style dining here. Our dining room features a twenty foot vaulted ceiling with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase our mountain views. And if it’s possible, the food is even better than the ambiance! Chef Ron has been with us for the last fifteen years, and his culinary prowess is known throughout El Paso. He offers two unique and special choices at every meal, plus an always-available menu with as many as 10 options every day. And those always-available options include salmon and beef tenderloin, not mystery meat casserole. Residents and their families love our Taco Tuesdays with Chef Ron’s special tacos and cheese enchiladas.
We also have lots of special treats, snacks, and desserts throughout the week, as well as big extra-special meals on holidays with live music and entertainment. Everyone has all-day access to the dining room, with 2-3 meals included every day depending on your level of care. The food here is truly exceptional, but don’t take our word for it. Beautiful Apartments with Unmatched Storage
We have a wide variety of spacious floor plans available, including studio, one- and two-bedroom options. This allows our residents to continue living with their spouses within our community. All of our apartments also feature generous walk-in closets that are larger than any other community in the area. And, they all have great views and bathrooms designed for both safety and comfort. Independent Living and Independent Plus apartments have full kitchens, including a full-size refrigerator, range, and microwave. Assisted Living apartments have a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and optional microwave. Memory Care studio apartments come furnished, but we can also store our furniture and bring in your own.
Don’t spend your retirement cleaning. All the Montevista at Coronado residents get their apartments cleaned weekly, plus linen services, included with your monthly rent. Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments have full laundry services, and we have lots of free laundry rooms available for our Independent residents.
