You might still be wondering…
Can we afford The Gardens of Scottsdale Assisted Living & Memory Care?
Most of our community members come from modest backgrounds—and their retirement funds and social security benefits typically cover our costs completely. Our monthly rates are comparable to what many families already spend on housing, utilities, groceries, dining out, home health services, housekeeping, and entertainment.
Do you offer transportation or outings?
Yes. The Gardens of Scottsdale provides private transportation for scheduled appointments and essential errands. We also plan occasional group outings, though most daily engagement happens right here in the community. Our goal is to make getting where you need to go simple and stress-free.
How’s the food?
Delicious and comforting. Meals are freshly prepared and served restaurant-style three times a day, with a changing entrée—favorites like chicken with lemon caper sauce are a hit—and a dependable always-available menu featuring burgers, deli sandwiches, fried shrimp, and our most-requested dish, quesadillas. A bistro with rotating snacks keeps community members recharged throughout the week, and monthly family nights bring everyone together for themed dinners and entertainment.
What stands out about your apartments?
Our apartments are bright, cozy studios filled with natural light and big windows that frame beautiful mountain views. They’re easy to settle into and just the right size—private and personal, yet only steps away from dining, activities, and friendly faces.
What should families know about memory care?
Our memory care neighborhood is intentionally small and easy to navigate, which means every person receives personal attention. Many of our caregivers have been here for years, and they take time to learn what makes each individual feel calm, happy, and purposeful. For one neighbor, that might mean starting the day in the garden; for another, it’s helping clear dishes after meals, as they’ve always done. The setting feels like home, with cozy living rooms, a patio with raised garden beds, and staff who shape each day around possibilities—not limitations.
Is there plenty to do each day?
Definitely. Life at The Gardens of Scottsdale includes 5–6 activities daily in both assisted living and memory care. From exercise with weights and resistance bands to bingo, trivia, word games, and flower arranging, there’s always something engaging on the calendar. Evenings bring card and board games, weekly live music during happy hour, and monthly themed family nights that everyone looks forward to.
How quickly can you help if we need to move fast?
We understand that many families come to us after a hospital stay or sudden health change. Our team can move quickly when needed—sometimes in just a few days—while still ensuring everything feels thoughtful and supportive.
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
