U.S. News & World Report conducted unbiased surveys of over 500,000 senior living residents and their families throughout the United States. These surveys asked real, current senior living residents and their loved ones to rate their senior living community in areas like:

- Management and staff responsiveness
- Overall value and social engagement
- Safety and caregiving
Only the highest-rated communities receive a “Best” rating. The “Best Senior Living” ratings include additional awards for communities that received outstanding ratings in particular areas. This includes Caregiving, Food & Dining, Activities & Enrichment, and ‘Feels Like Home.’
