You might still be wondering…
Can we afford The Grand at Broomfield Independent & Assisted Living in Broomfield, CO?
How do people get around outside the community?
Many of our community members still drive and keep their own cars—parking is available on-site, and you’re free to come and go as you please. For those who prefer not to drive, we offer scheduled transportation to medical appointments, local outings, and group excursions. Whether it’s a scenic drive to the mountains or lunch at a favorite spot in town, we’ll get you there comfortably.
Need a different ride? We’re happy to help coordinate third-party transportation, too. And of course, family and friends are always welcome to visit and pick you up anytime.
How’s the food, really?
Genuinely great. It’s one of the first things people notice when they move in. Our executive chef brings both heart and creativity to the table—offering daily specials that go beyond the expected, alongside familiar favorites for comfort. The menu changes often, and there’s always something new to try.
We also hold a monthly dining forum so everyone has a voice in what’s served. And if you have a sweet tooth? Don’t miss Milo’s Creamery—a weekly favorite, hand-scooped and served with heart by adults with special needs.
What if we just need light support—or more later on?
What makes Memory Care different here?
Our Memory Care team doesn’t just care for people—they connect with them. Built on the Apollo Program’s pillars of education, environment, and engagement, our approach is deeply personal. We learn about each person’s life before dementia and use that insight to shape their daily experience.
One retired teacher here lights up when we hand her a stack of "student papers" to correct—something she loved doing for decades. Another person, once a performer, finds joy in live music during happy hour. This isn’t about keeping folks busy. It’s about honoring who they are, in ways that still matter.
How do new community members get connected?
We know those first few days can feel like a big leap. That’s why we pair every new arrival with an ambassador—a current community member who welcomes them in, shows them around, and helps them get comfortable.
There’s also our daily “Constellation” meeting—something our Executive Director started to bring people together. It’s a light-hearted, all-community check-in with staff and neighbors to share updates, tell jokes, and simply connect before the day begins. It’s small, but powerful. And it’s one of the reasons people feel like they belong here—not just live here.
What’s the atmosphere like day to day?
There’s a real sense of momentum here—lively, but never overwhelming. Each week brings 40 to 50 opportunities to move, connect, learn, or just have fun. One day it’s movie night or high tea. The next, it’s an outing to Estes Park, a speaker series on the Titanic, or a celebration for National Chili Dog Day. There are scenic drives, food adventures, local excursions, and creative workshops—all thoughtfully planned, yet never too structured.
Some of the best moments happen spontaneously: a group gathering for wine on the third-floor patio, a neighbor sharing herbs picked from the courtyard garden beds, a hallway conversation that turns into plans for dinner. Our Life Enrichment Director brings heart and imagination to everything she plans—and she’s an avid baker, so the halls often smell like something warm and homemade. Whether you’re eager to dive in or prefer to ease your way in, there’s always something worth showing up for.
What’s special about the location?
The Grand is nestled in one of Broomfield’s most desirable neighborhoods—peaceful, welcoming, and close to everything. Many of our community members have lived in this area for years and love staying near familiar places and people. Others are new to Broomfield and quickly feel at home, thanks to the natural beauty, vibrant growth, and easy access to shops, parks, and local restaurants.
Whether you’re coming from just down the road or across the country, this is the kind of place where life feels grounded and full—where you can settle in, look out toward the mountains, and know you’ve landed somewhere good.
What kind of people live at The Grand?
You’ll meet former teachers, veterans, nurses, farmers, construction workers, and plenty of neighbors who’ve called Broomfield home for most of their lives. Most are in their late 70s to mid-80s and still very independent—but ready to enjoy more ease and connection day to day.
There’s a strong sense of community here, but no pressure to be social all the time. Some people are out and about every day. Others enjoy the quiet of their apartments and join in when they feel like it. Everyone finds their rhythm.
The care is full circle here.
The Stellar Living Foundation was created to make generosity a shared experience. Community members, team members, community partners, leadership, and owners all contribute to the circle of care. Whether it’s supporting a staff member through a crisis, helping a community member's grandchild go to college, or giving back to local organizations, the Foundation is how we lift each other up.
